Watching American Chopper . . .

I'm guessing the OP has never driven a BMW. They're called "The Ultimate Driving Machine" for a reason. There is no American made car that can compare in terms of quality, handling, power, and efficiency. I don't own one (yet) but I've driven several from different generations. I know the last thing I want to do when I get home is mess with a car, might be the same way with those guys. End of the day comes, time to GTFO and relax.

. . . wrong! I owned a 2007 BMW 328. Nice car until the factory 3 year warranty (full, oil changes, everything) was up. Ultimate Driving Machine = Ultimate Maintenance Costs. Average Joe can't even change a battery (which is expensive in itself) in a newer BMW.
. . . btw, my post was meant to be trivial. And yeah, I admit I watch American Chopper and Sons of Anarchy. Sometimes mindless entertainment at the end of a hard day is a good thing.

There is no American made car that can compare in terms of quality, handling, power, electrical problems, faulty power windows, poor A/C and efficiency. I don't own one (yet) but I've driven several from different generations. I know the last thing I want to do when I get home is mess with a car, it's much easier to have it towed to my mechanic and add a few more bucks to the 2nd. mortgage.....might be the same way with those guys. End of the day comes, time to GTFO and relax.

I personally don't mind them. I've been turning wrenches professionally for a few years now, so I have access to all of my tools, lifts, etc. My GMC Typhoon was a PITA to work on, my Taurus SHO was a close second.
