Default Thinking about getting a Big Dog K9

I was thinking about selling my Rocker and getting a big dog k9. Anyone have real experience with a Big Dog? I know there are a lot of opinions, I want to see if there are actual owners or former owners who can comment on Big Dog reliability and quality, and how it compares to HD. Thanks in advance.

I've never owned one. I wont. I've seen what my friends went through with them. No, they are no where near as reliable as a Harley. If you can get 2 of them for your Harley I'd consider it.

The one I am looking at is a 2008 K9.

Anyway, seems like everything I read says they are a piece of crap. Horrible elelctrical system etc.... I guess I am just trying to find an excuse to buy one, I love the look though.

With your list of bikes you own here (2012 Road King #41 of 200, 2012 Fatboy Lo Denim Black, 2009 Softail Rocker C) it looks like you don't need much of and excuse to buy something....lol

If you keep your real bike. The Harley and can snag one of them bikes cheap, under 10k cheap and have a tool box and some knowledge about things its not a big deal. But to sell your Harley to buy a cookie cutter box of after market parts with a paint job you'll hate yourself later. Cause no one is gonna want to buy your headache. I have one friend with a big dog that has less trouble than most. He's been riding 45 years and knows how to maintain his ****.

A guy at work bought a used one, had it five months, and three of those it was in the shop. Biggest expense was transmission, rest was nickle and dime stuff. Lost his shirt on that one.
