I have always loved my Levi's but the brand has gone to ****. I'm lucky to get 6 months from a pair. They always blow out in the crotch and to be honest it's not because I'm blessed. I have decided it's time to take some jobs from the Chinese so I just mught give the Diamond Gusset jeans a try.

Hubbie says the sizes on both brands are his normal size.

Mid weight are pretty light weight. Work jeans are better riding protection IMHO.

I wait until Cabela's has the Roughneck Relaxed Fit jeans on sale. They are 15 oz weight and give lots of room.

I'll second the Diamond Gusset jeans, extra room and very comfortable.

Is that a temporarily growing problem... do you get excited easily? if so a size larger may be more comfortable. A cold shower before a ride may also help

I have 2 pairs of the Defender jeans with Kevlar and they aren't stiff. The Kevlar lining is very soft and barely noticeable. I haven't found out yet if the Kevlar actually works and hope I never do.

You guys just need to stop wearing those skinny jeans and you'll be fine.

Carhartt work pants on and off the bike. Wear better than jeans, and loose enough in the crotch that comfort isn't an issue. Double front work pants for when the weather is colder. Dress them up with a clean white t shirt for a night out with the missus.
