You need to check nada values in your area. Values in Arizona or Timbuktoo or where ever are gonna be different than in New Jersey. As far as the price on the Road King it is a little high for down here but that does not matter to you. Its what they are going for around you that is important. Even if it is 1500.00 or so to much is it the bike that you want? If it is just what you have been looking for it might be worth a few extra bucks. If they are asking 16,500 over the phone I am sure they will have some room when you actually go there in person. Never underestimate the power of the walkaway. If they are just not seeing eye to eye with you get up and walk away. I bet they will stop you before you get out of the lot with a better offer. The last time I did that they did the lot thing and I still pulled out and my phone rang about three minutes later offering me the deal I wanted. Good luck and have fun shopping. I love Motorcycle shopping.

it's a good looking bike and very clean. I am just a little unsure of the year, miles and asking price. On one hand it seems a little high but on the other it is clean and has everything I would want for the bike.

I don't know man. I only paid 18k for my 2011 (leftover right after the 2012s came out) when it was brand new. And they threw in the backrest, luggage rack, and handle bars. And it already had their chrome profile laced spoke wheels (about a $1000 dollar option) and cruise control on it. And I didn't have to pay any set up fees.

Danny, that was a sweet deal. Around here in NJ it seems all the used RKs are going for close to the price of new 2012s, which when you throw in the tax and tags I am up around $20k.

Dealers love guys like you, you've sold yourself on it. I was trying to give you some ammunition to get a better deal. Just go there tomorrow with the checkbook and ask them if they'll throw in an oil change if you buy it right then.

If you do that deal, better have some Vaseline on hand. A buddy bought a new '011 RK Standard last year from Orlando Harley for 16 & change OUT THE DOOR! '08 is a bastard year--You have the TBW, which sucks, but NOT the new frame. Only year for that. If you're gonna trade I'd look for an '07 like I did--96" 6 speed, but still throttle cables. If you're gonna DOWNGRADE to a TBW bike, at least get the new frame in the deal. I'd walk on this one.
