Default Owning a Harley ain't cheap!

Especially if you aren't a mechanic, like me! Just got a new front tire, new HD handgrips and an oil change. Total bill: $460.00 Guess I shouldn't gripe my mechanic always does the job right and I don't mind giving my money to another small American business!

Why not get a service manual and change you own oil. If I can do it anyone can trust me on this.

Not very expensive if you consider what it would have cost to get similar things done for your car.

I know what you mean about expensive. I spend more annually on my bikes than my cages.

The fleecing of the sheep.

you can change the oil yourself for less than $40.

I use my HD visa all the time to build up points. When I'm ready for a tire I have enough points to get it from the dealer at no cost and they will install on my bike for $30.

Nothings wrong with the stock grips but if you can't change them yourself well, whatever.

Are you serious? Don't know what kind of car you have, but an oil change for a car around here runs about $40.00.

Don't even need a service manual to do an oil change: it's all right there in the owner's manual. Fun & easy. Grip change is a do it yourself task. Tire? Buy on-line and go to an indie shop.

You are SO right. Even though I NEED nothing, when I haven't added/changed something in a while, gotta get SOMETHING!

Try modding the heck out of a Harley, selling it, buying a new Harley and starting over. I'm on my fourth Harley. At least I'll be able to ride to bankruptcy court in style.
