Prices dealers pay for t-shirts and parts?

They do it because they can. They find the mark where they can make a %. It looks better on paper if make $100 of selling 5 shirts, rather than making $100 on selling 10 shirts. I would guess if they knew or thought they could make $100 off 2 shirts they would jack the price up more. Its all business and how you want to run it. NO difference on designer jean. You can get them at wal-mart for cheap and they function the same. Its an image.

We all are in business, one way or another. Some work the line, some sell the stuff that comes off the line, some manage, and some take orders for the products off the line. In business it comes down to one thing, VALUE. What do I mean you ask? The only way anyone buys anything is if they see a value in the purchase. I don't care if its a new furnace for the house, a car or a T Shirt from Harley. If the cost is more than the value, it doesn't sell. Right or wrong, and I don't work for the MoCo, if the value to the customer yeilds a 50% profit margin, good for them. I can buy knock offs, and sometimes I do, but when the value is there, I but the original Good for them, good for me.

I can say that Best Buy and Jegs both have tremendous markups, just by knowing what employee discounts are. You would not believe some Best Buy markups, on the other hand Best Buy has some items at 5% or less to get you in the door.
Our new hobby is searching the dealers bargain racks, We find a lot at Walmart prices.

I was gonna say I'd always heard clothes and furniture was marked up 100% or doubled if you will.

I have no idea what the mark up is, but for clothes go to the clearance rack, may be last seasons stuff, but the price is a lot more in line with normal, lol.

That's what I do. I can't remember the last time I paid full price for clothing. It's the clearance rack all the way.
