Calling off from work to go riding?

I'm involved with HR more than I would like. It seems as if I do not play the PC game as well as they would like...in case you can't tell.

Here we go with this "real biker" stuff again. It seems as if that "real biker" thread has gone viral on this forum! Actually, on second thought, real bikers don't have to take days off....they don't have jobs right? We already established that on the other thread....or did we?

Naw I didn't know all of them on a first name basis either

That would make you about as popular with the cronies in HR as I am with my HR "team". You deserve a mental heath day soon....take one and go ride!

I tell my supervisor I am coming down with Harleyitis and they understand and laugh. We have enough personal days to burn and can sneak out once in a while or flex my hours and work extra later.
I have never burned sick time to take off for anything other than what it's meant for.

I get 5 paid personal days off to use for anything a year but need to give at least 2 hours notice what sucks is riding in to work and running in to friends on the way then having them revving their engines in the back ground when I’m calling off only 10 minutes before I need to be in. I only get 1 week end off a month so it happens more than it should

I might have done it once or twice a long time ago but these days when I call in sick, I am actually sick. Current job (11 years) gives me 3 weeks vacation per year and only allowed to have 1-1/2 times that at the end of each year so have to take some of it now and then or lose it. Also work a flex schedule... 9 hours per day andA have every other Friday off.
