Calling off from work to go riding?

If you have never called out from work to go riding you are not a "Real Biker". J/K
I have done it several times. I usually just take a personal leave day so I don't feel guilty.
I have also left work early on many occasions to go riding. I have a huge window in my office and when it is beautiful out I cant focus on work. I usually make up for those days as well by working extra on shitty days.

I get a hour lunch break and I work out in the field all day in my neighborhood. So I frequently stop home for lunch and go for rides. Nothing like a harley and a side of wind in your face for lunch.

It has been done. :-)
The ultimate win-win is when I need to visit a supplier as part of my job in an adjoining state during the Summer, so I get paid to ride!

I took a "personal time off" day and went to Daytona for bike week. The boss knew I was going...then I called him and said, "Hey, I'm thinking of going tomorrow, too...any problem with that?"
"No problem...be careful, and don't wind up in jail!"
However, if I knew my boss was a jerk, I would call in sick to go riding for sure!!!
