I don't know what it's more for, but I sure as hell want to have steering control in a "skid". Mine kicked in once for me and I was amazed at the amount of control I had. The experience made me feel a lot more confident in the bike's maneuverability in an unfavorable situation.

My Triumph has ABS....after having a panic stop on wet pavement , I would never buy another new bike without it. But, I wouldn't go trade in a bike to get it. It is a nice option to have but doesn't make you Superman either.

I like the idea of stopping straight without swerving around. I have ABS on my bike.
