Anyone use Spectro V-twin Trans Fluid? Pro's? Con's? Thanks.

Default Spectro

Yeah, I use it in my tranny. As long as the clutch is adjusted correctly, there is no clunk when shifting gears. Good stuff. SAE 75W140

Spectro Platinum 6 speed (ok for 5 speed too)
It's all I use. You'll notice a huge differance.

I use the same stuff as FUBAR. Big difference in how smooth the tranny shifts. It is still clunky butt then again most of the gears are straight cut in the tranny.

Changed my fluids last week in preparation for the River Run, the Spectro gear oil had 7k miles on it. After I drained it, I felt like putting it back in the trans. It looked, felt, and smelled like I had just poured it from the bottle. Very little debri (more like a drop of metalic paint) on the magnetic drain plug. I'm not saying it's better than anything else but, it's certainly as good as anything available.

It's as good as anything else out there. Better than using motor oil.

If you don't use HD products in your HD, it will self destruct and you'll get pimples...
