ISO grips
#12
I ran the Isos some of last year and this year until today. I never had any thing come off on my hands, but found them uncomfortable. Make sure you are OK with a larger diameter grip, I wear a size L glove, so it's not small hands... I just couldn't get comfortable with them.
If anyone wants to try a used set for cheap, send me a PM.

Have the ISO for 3+ years. I notice some area of the rubber grip is turning into "matted" black. I also have their the ISO throttle boss on both L&R, great for resting my palms on the freeway.
Until someone come up with throttle boss as integrated looking as Kury's ISO. I'll stay with the Kury.
Anyone know of any?

I just replaced my ISO grips because the chrome around the pads was peeling. No black coming off but the chrome sure did. These are about 18 mos old.
I replaced them with Performance Machine contour grips. I wanted something that was all rubber where I grip. So far I really like the PF grips.

I've had Iso's on the last 3 bikes and have never had a problem with them and I never wear gloves when the temps are warm enough. find them very comfortable too. the wife has them on her bike and likes them a lot.

I had a style very close to them, & after I wore the rubber below the metal they became very uncomfortable, I actually wore into aluminum enough to notice. also after grips are heavily worn, when hands get sweaty, the throottle will slip in your hand & can start returning to idle while at speed, & you have to let go & grab it again, never again will I have rubber going around, as it doesnt always hit where your hand wants to be. I prefer rubber style grips or horizontal style rubber inserts in metal grips.
