there shouldnt any as they butt up to the switch gear but if it does then i have put some electrical tape or masking tape to take up the slack on the part of the lever what touches the switch in the housing

very easy to do as you can take the circlip off the bottom of the lever and pull it upwards so it releases the lever then tape accordingly

hth

Most controls have a plastic rattle clip or wedge on the levers to keep them from doing that . Check the dealer for one .

When I changed my bars I didn't tighten the switch housing enough to the master cylinder housing and it slid. Pushed it closer and tightened it up. Fixed the problem.

Sounds like the piston from the master cylinder is sticking.

When you remove the lever, spray the piston with some brake parts cleaner and use a q-tip to clean it.
Then lube it with spray silicone....you might have to put the lever and pivot pin back on, squeeze the lever a few times, remove lever, spray piston again....after working the silicone in a few times, reinstall the retaining ring on the pivot pin.

Could be time for a master cylinder rebuild kit.

A friend of mine had this happen. Ended up being that the previous owner put the wrong brake fluid in and the bottom half of the fluid in the reservoir turned to muck almost like vaseline. This caused the master cylinder to stick which wouldnt allow his brake lever to return all the way back out. Had to the flush the front brake line and ended up replacing the piston as well. Hope you get it worked out.

You guys are over reacting a bit here , believe the guy is talking about the slop in the lever mount not his mastercylinder being fubar . Start with simple stuff first always .
