T shirt prices...
I recall reading a thread on here yesterday complaining about the price of $30 for a t shirt from a harley dealer. I chuckled to myself as most of the t shirts that I find wearable go for more than that new. I think the shirts at my local stealer are $30, but I don't know for sure as I would not pay that for a t shirt. How much are shirts at your local stealer, and do you feel they are worth the value? My local stealer Bartels' Harley has weak shirts.

No t-shirt is worth 30 bucks to me. And I like nice clothes and have no problem plopping down 50-75 bucks for a nice polo shirt but no way I pay 30 bucks for a lousy Harley t-shirt that is gonna fade and look like crap after 3 washes...not to mention I can wear a polo anywhere, I'm not wearing Harley t-shirts anywhere but on my bike....

I buy them when they are on the discount rack for $10 to $15. Most of the time I use my "chrome cash" to buy anything from the dealer. I've had some for 3 or 4 years and they haven't faded or look like crap, they do shrink, so I buy the next size up.

A short sleeve T here is aroud 20 bucks.
Personally, I think HD shirts are a racket, yet we buy them. Sure, I have a closet full of them. Most were gifts. The few that I bought came off the clearance rack.
On most trips to rally's, it's always hotter than hell. Still I see guys standing around in black t-shirts. I found that I can get more mileage out of a 4 pack of wife beaters and a 4 pack of white T's. I stay cool and have a week's wardrobe for 10 bucks.

RE: T shirt prices...
There are a few of us at work that will buy Harley t shirts as gifts for each other when we are traveling and stop at an out-of state dealer. I don't mind dropping $30 when it's a gift for someone, but the only harley t's I own are the ones that I was given as gifts. I'd never spend that kind of money on a shirt for me. Every shirt I own gets pretty well wrecked very quickly because I ain't too careful with my clother. Everything has grease stains and cigar burns in it.

The shirts at $20-30 is typical in San Diego, but what price cool? The jeans on the other hand are a bargain. Where else can you get a decent jean for $36?[sm=smiley20.gif]

Some of the dressy ones that look really nice are worth the $30ish price.
