Michigan Helmet Law - Send Message to Governor Now So He Signs the Bill
I am hearing from folks that those opposed to the helmet law which will give us the right to choose to not wear a helmet in Michigan are writing in large numbers to the governor urging him not to sign the bill into law.
If you are from MI, would ride in MI, are for freedom of choice, and would like the Governor to sign the bill to give us the right to ride without a helmet please go to the official MI Governor website and let the Governor and his staff know. Here is the link.

I dropped them an email. I would really love to do some riding there, but with a helmet law, that's going to happen any time soon. Good luck with getting the helmet law removed.

If you live, or ride, in Michigan please take a minute and let Rick Snyder ( The Governor of our sate ) know that it's more about the choice than anything else .... most will still wear helmets ... it's just the "Having to" that irks most of us ... We ( Abate Of Michigan ) have fought this battle for many years and are looking to be successful this time. Call this number: 517-335-7858. Tell the Governor you would like him to sign the helmet law repeal bill. I just did ... Thanks for your support Brothers!

I can understand the argument for wearing a helmet, I do. But with so many of our freedoms disappearing please help us fight for anything we have left. Call, or email Snyder today.

Unless they get rid of the MCCA charge, the Michigan Catastrophic Claims Association fee that every driver and rider in Michigan pays, I'm against Snyder signing it. It's not a freedom of choice when everyone has to pay an increased MCCA charge caused by more people collecting unlimited medical benefits. Get rid of the MCCA, then he can sign it.
