Default Cruise control doesn't work over 90 mph.

Was cruising on Florida's turnpike last weekend. The marked limit is 70, but traffic was flowing at 80 mph. I had cruise set at 80 mph for about an hour. At one point the traffic was very thin so I decided to roll it up via the accel button to 90+, but the fuel or ignition of something cut at 90 preventing using CC above 90. Rolling on the throttle by hand worked just fine. Does HD set em up this way or do I have a problem?

I don't know for sure but that sounds prudent to me.

Well good, at 90, one would think you would want control.

Check your manual. I think it says that the cc will only work to a certain speed in the 80's. My old Street Glide did anyway.

I think autos are the same way. May be a rule or something. Big Brother.

Ya, they are set that way. I tried to set mine at 95 a couple weeks back and it almost threw me through the fairing when I let go of the throttle

I am just guessing, but I would say Yes to both.
