Default Tailgators?

I'm probably the only one with this problem on this site but how do you deal with a tailgaters. I drive the speed limits or just a little over but what or how do you deal with these jerks. I drive a medium but larger truck for work so I know to slow down enough to make them pass and if they run into the back, tough crap. This of course can have bad results for a guy on a bike. I hate pulling off to the side or some other evasive manuver.

It depends on where I'm riding. On the freeway or a multi-lane road I usually will move over if I can. On a road with no where to go I'll often slow down and keep slowing down until they go around me. I don't have this issue very often as the roads in and around Vegas are really wide and large. I've found that when someone plants themselves on me it doesn't really matter how fast I'm going; that's just how they drive so if you speed up now you're being tailgated at a higher rate of speed which even worse.

On the freeway I usually hawk a lugie over my shoulder. That usually backs them up.

Well pulling over is for sure the first thing you should try, I usually go that route, then there is times when I am in a bad mood or in the mood to be bad, not sure which, but I'll turn wave the vehicle to back off, if they don't take the hint it's a handful of 3/8" ball bearings over the shoulder, and then you twist the throttle and take the **** off to never be seen again.

I slow down if I'm in the right lane, usually wakes most up but occasionally there a buttwipe back there. I do not talk chit to em, I do not flip em off...I just realize they're alot of em out there. Get use to it. By all means dont screw with them in the fast lane, grab the right lane and forget about it.

I've thought about a hand full of broken spark plug porcelain. Wouldn't do much damage but it would shatter there wind shield. Still wouldnt provoke a 3000lb cage.
