Default To Those Who've Bought Daytona 1/2 Helmets From Their Website

Did you find the way they tell you to measure for the right size, to be pretty close? Never bought a helmet online before, but I like that DOT 1/2 helmet of theirs.

It may not help but. here's what I did.

I was looking at a 3/4 lid from them. My wife and I were at a rally and she tried one on there. I was going to purschase then but didn't have a color she wanted.
Then I called Daytona and ordered.

If I am correct, each size helmet is sized so that if you go up in size it's still doesn't give that "mushroom" effect. (Kinda hard to explain.) My wife wears a small size in every helmet I bought for her, and the Daytona 3/4 was the same way.

Just a thought, hope it helps out.

Good Luck and Ride Safe!

I bought two different helmets from them. Both were sized correct. Kinda tuff buying a helmet online without trying it on. I had good luck with Daytona. I did buy a Nolan full face a few years back and they are definetly small for the listed size.

I'd go for it. You can also return it if not happy.

Never had one of those but I was tempted to buy on line the helmet I have, according to their measuring chart I needed a large one, luckily I found a Triumph dealership near me that sold them, there was no way I could get the large one on my head, the xlarge I got on but was very tight and my ears nearly came off when I took it off, I ended up with an xx large, so beware when buying on line yes you can send it back but it's all extra hassle.

I agree. I bought a Daytona Skull Cap from them. The sizing said I should be a small and I was. Fits great.

I did and it fit well. Bigger issue is the shape of your head.

Same here. Size and fit seemed to be as described on the web site.

I own both the Daytona 3/4 and 1/2 lid. The 3/4 is an XL, but my 1/2 is a L. The 3/4 would fit more secure with a L, but past experience has my forehead being rubbed raw or causing a headache, thus, an XL. As far as the 1/2, I went one size smaller and it works okay for me. Between the two, I prefer the comfort of my 3/4, but with summer coming, a good 1/2 lid is the ticket...
