Chaps are great in the cool weather, doo-rag keeps my bald(ing) dome from getting roasted. Vest is great when it's REAL cold for under my jacket, comes off in mid-cool and is the outer layer when it's hot. Come to realize there really is a purpose for all this stuff.

Chaps on a beautiful woman and a thong. Yowsa!!! Whole different story than riding for miles and thinking.

I got a set of thermal lower underwear for that. If it's too cold for those, I don't ride...

They are very effective. I wear my chaps anytime the temp dips below 55 degrees. How effective are they? I've ridden all winter this year as long as the streets were dry. And that included several mornings with temps in the teens. No other layers. Uniform pants, and chaps were enough.

No that's not what I'm saying. That's what they're saying, see quote below.

WTF! You got something against pirates? As a mater of fact I was thinking about poking an eye out so I could wear an eye patch and not be a poser.

Gay? I wear chaps sometimes and if you haven't worn them, can't knock them. Call me gay if you want (while I'm riding comfortably on a cooler day) but my wife and I know the score on that one!
