Yeah, you need a newer bike, mine work perfectly.

I'm impressed with how well they work, no complaints here. A nice luxury compared to doing hand signals on my choppers

Inside your TSM (Turn Signal Module)/TSSM (Turn Signal/Security Module) unit on your bike is an item called a "Bank Angle Sensor" (BAS) that senses, among other thinks, when your bike tilts like in a turn. When it detects your bike tilting/leaning, as in a turn, the BAS tells the TSM/TSSM that you just made the turn and it cancels the turn signal. The turn signal will also turn off after a certain amount of time or distance traveled after the turn signal was first activated (again, controlled by your TSM/TSSM). That way, if you accidentally pushed the button or decided to not make the turn (and forgot to turn it back off) the TSM/TSSM will do it for you.

The BAS is the same sensor that will detect that you may have laid down your bike and will kill the engine and other electrical systems until you stand back up your bike and cycle your ignition off and back on. Before resetting you will see "tlP" displayed on your odometer and will be stored in your error code history.

Seldom use mine, hand signals here, difficult habit to lose...unless its night or someone tail gatin me. Mine work just fine and the dash always keeps me aware of whether they're still flashing when they shouldnt be.

Beat me to it, also I believe it's the same thing that your security uses to sense the bike moving. My '03's and Her '04 the signals work great.

Us older guys don't mind driving for miles with our turn signal on. Sort of adds to the confusion factor.
