Redline Shockproof in Tranny gets a thumbs up!
Not trying to start a "which oil is better" thread, just relaying my personal experience.
Up until last week, I had been running Syn3 in the Engine, Primary, and Trans.
I haven't had any problems, but the loud "Clunk" when I shifted to First (especially before things had a chance to warm up) always bugged me.
Based on a lot of reading here on the Forum, I decided to switch to Mobil 1 V-Twin for the Engine and Primary, and Redline Trans oil with Shockproof for the Trans.
Can't really tell any noticeable difference with the Engine or Primary between the Syn3 and the Mobil1, but the Trans is another story.
Right away, that loud Clunk I was used to hearing when going to First Gear on a cold engine was a lot "softer" or "muffled". I can still hear and feel it, but nothing like before.
I didn't think it would make that much of a difference, but it did. I was surprised to find out that my Dealer actually stocked it too.
From now on, it's Redline with Shockproof in the Trans for me.

Gla you posted. It reinforces much of what I've already heard on here, and a lot of my research on Redline shockproof. I just ordered the Redline V-Twin package (arrived UPS) and my indy is going to change all 3 this weekend. I'm looking forward to the benefits and the incresed protection to my motor and trans.

When I bought my '08, the tranny sounded like a can of marbles. I put Redline Shockproof in and haven't heard that noise again since then.
The stuff has a very high coating/cling ability.

I've been using it in my transmission for the last year and a half. It made a noticeable reduction in the gear noise from the transmission and shifts are smoother too. Good stuff.
