What's Your Favorite Group Riding Size?
Solo
2-4

I don't think the SIZE of the group matters near as much as the RIDERS in the group.
I ride with a riding club, and we take in all who join.... It's easy to spot the new/nervous folks, and cull them off into a "safe group". Everyone leaves at the same time, and arrives at the same location... but we take the new folks along an easy path, while the experienced riders get to scrape pegs, and challenge their skills.

Charity rides? I tend to avoid..... you wind up near a lot of riders that are more scarey than a SUV, with screaming kids in the back.... I'll support the event, and get to the end point solo...but I avoid riding withih the pack.
Then you get the rides where it's bar-to-bar... I'm no prude, but when the guy drawing cards in front of me , yells to his buddy at the bar "get me a double jack, and a beer".... I'm thinking a polite "see you at the end point" is needed.

but then.... there are a lot of folks who believe riding and drinking IS "the lifestyle".... to each their own

Most of the riding I do is solo, actually two up with my wife. Still if we are in a group one of 5 - 10 bikes is good. Any larger and it just becomes to cumbersome and should be broken into two groups.

Solo. My group riding consists of my wife on the back. I don't have any close friends that ride, so my choices are limited...

Not to say I wouldn't join in if the opportunity came alone...

My riding time is limited so when I ride it's to go for a ride, not socialize. I tend to ride briskly and don't want to have to do what some one else wants.

you take your chances as it is on a bike. when you ride with a group depending on how close you ride, those chances are increased. i like to hang in the back and be called a slow poke.

Although most of my riding is done solo, to and from work, running errands ect, I voted the 2-4 group size. I have riden in very large groups and really don't care for the slinky effect that you encounter in large groups. Plus the smaller groups are easier to keep together in traffic and such.

Love to ride in a small group. Due to working on weekends, I'm usually solo though.

I voted solo, but, for a cause like the flood run you can't help but ride with a hundred or more bikes. It's all good until the last few beer stops, then gets a little hairy!

I ride solo more often than not, but have 6 buds that ride,,though seldom do we all ride together due to schedules, so it's 2-3 per ride when we do. I'm not a fan of large group rides, too much bs.
