If that was an Allstate 250, the cylinders shared a head; both pistons fired together. Only reason I can think of they'd do that is to reduce the rotating weight for higher rpm, but I don't remember that as a particularly high rpm motor anyway. Seemed like a gutless wonder when I rode one, but then I was comparing it to my 305 Honda, which was a fairly hot bike at the time. We should have kept all our old bikes, worth a lot more today than new (unless you compute the inflation thing; then money today isn't worth much).

Been riding for 28 years and i'm only 34-alot of years on the dirt. I love bikes and always will. Sure there are days I just don't feel like rding so I don't but man when I want to get out there and I get on the bike it's the best feeling in the world. I just hope i see the 50 year mark.

I will pass 41 years next month STREET riding. I agree with you OldDog48. I will always remember a spring day when I was 16 and cut school. Rode my Sportster all day long. Even snuck into a country bar for a beer. I still get that stupid grin every spring. Except for the part where my father ripped me a new one for cutting school...

54 yrs this summer.Figure another 20 or so unless I die from something. I've loved motorcycles from the first time I saw one. Never got tired of it. It's what I do.

Saw my first Harley (2 actually) about 1956. got to ride my first motor about 1960. Got my 1st Harley 1994. So I guess I've been riding about 51 years. Plan to ride until I can't hold up a 2-wheeler, then probably go to an extra wheel.

I still get that warm fuzzy feeling every time I ride! I look like an old grouch on the outside but I'm smiling on the inside!
I've enjoyed riding all different makes but just never got the same feeling I get on a Harley!
I plan on riding until some older fart runs over me or I can't safely ride anymore!
Ride safe and enjoy every ride!

I love to ride. I started riding in 1958 on a Norton Dominator. Currently have a Heritage Softail Classic and a Bonneville T100, what I consider the best of both worlds. I plan on riding for many more years. Hope everyone here can also.
