OC Harley tells me it's going to cost $2100. Moco CS says its not a known issue and they will not do anything about it. I don't know what to do. I need help.

I think you need $2100 - Did you buy this bike new or used? Keep up with all scheduled maintenance?? Good luck, sucks when you get news of having to spend $$$ to fix your scoot.

Not much you can do, you can look up the parts yourself and see if an Indy will do the work cheaper, or do the work yourself.

It's a nearly 6 year old bike, it isn't going to be covered under warranty.

Buy new take offs from ebay for half the money. Find a good indy to do the job, or better yet buy a case of beer and get some buddies over to do it. Fix the bike first.

What all did it destroy??

Unfortunately 2006 Dynas have issues with their stators and IPB in the primary. The Moco has helped people with this issue in the past, even after warranty has expired. I might be trying to do this on my own. For some reason the service manger thinks I've loads of money.

Here is a 2006 ST primary for $500 or BO, sure you could get it cheaper. Some stuff won't fit, but HD will want over $500 for the clutch. I see clutches all the time for $150-200.

Another option would be a open belt primary set up. Not something I would do but cheaper than $2100.

This happened to me 2 weeks before my warranty expired, thank God. The indy I bought it from would have charged something like $1,200 to fix it. $2,100 sounds WAY to high.

Good luck man! Make sure if/when you get it done, to use the 07+ stator/rotor.

What do you know, just got a call from the service manger. They are gonna cover the labor. And the battery and voltage regulator may be ok. I'll take it. Thanks guys

I think customer service is BSing you. That is one of the most infamously known issues with that bike. Do a search on the Dyna forum. That has been fixed many times on the MoCo's dime
