There are a couple of guys on here who took theirs apart and had both the welded rotor and the case dowel pins. That is where I got that info. BTW the IPB was fine it is the case misalignment from no case dowels that cause the bearing failure.

Hello all.

I just happened across this thread, thought id drop in.

My friend bought a 2012 road glide ... within 1 month of buying it he left for a trip across country, and this happened to him. It backed out and i think went right through the primary. oil spraying everywhere, tons of noise, etc.

The damage was so bad, and the bike was so new, HD put a new motor in the bike.

The customer service was excellent from what i heard .. he was stranded out west and HD overnighted the motor once it was stamped, the dealer took a few hours to put it in, and he was on his way.

My point is, the issue does happen. And HD, given the right circumstances, will back you
