Not to change the subject, but I have been looking at Dyna's is it only the 2006 that the stator is bolted and not welded?

Seen mine at the dealer 5 bolts were stuck to the magnet, copper everywhere in the primary. Try to get some good will for the parts from the dealer, told there is no bulletin about stator so no go, guess I'll try calling Deeley Canada. @O2 I think only 2006 dyna line has the crap bolt design, also IPB issue.

MY IPB went out last summer, MOCO paid for everything (cases too).
How much would it cost if I had the stator assembly changed out? Now I'm paranoid....

Another option would be a open belt primary set up. Not something I would do but cheaper than $2100.
NICE FIND!!! There's the answer to his problem right there, cheap!!

Parts are 500 bucks Cdn new rotar is welded. Now mechanic is worried copper got in to the clutch. Dealer service manager called Deeley and they know nothing of stator failures, I guess I'm up to bat.

If they are worried crap got into the clutch all they need to do is pull it apart and look, not that big of a job. I caught mine early and it was a simple fix. Cost me less than $400.
