Default Tire prices increased?

Looking for a d401 for my 04 Heritage Classic rear, and it appears that there has been an increase in prices for tires! Crap.

3 dealers and a local indy all want about $300 to install, so I was going to get the tire online and bring it to the indy to save a few bucks. I am hoping to not have to remove the rear wheel myself as time is tight currently.

LOL! Where have you been? Tires are made of OIL! Its a damn shame that Dunlop/Harley cant give us a better, longer lasting D401/D402 tire.

I paid about $25 more for a rear D402 from jakewilson.com a few weeks ago than I did last year.

If you want to save as much money as possible on the tire change (without doing it yourself), you will want to take the wheel off your scooter and bring that to the indy to have him put the new one on.

I just had 4 tires installed on my little commuter car at the local tire store. I expected to pay about $80 each but was blown over by the $110 per tire price. The owner of the tire store, a local HD owner who I know and have riden with, told me that the price of tires went through the roof in the last 2 months or so.

I think it was about 6 weeks ago the prices jumped way up ($80-100 increase over last year), at least they seem to have come down a little since then.

Yup, prices of everything are going up.... Need new front and rear myself. Almost had a stroke when they told me the price.

What do we expect when our dollar is worth less and less.

Wouldn't it be great to tell OPEC to just "shove it."
