Nope. Hd recommends 5000 for my 'o4 88ci using regular dino oil. Using syn I can extend the changes. I go 7500.

Running Amsoil, I put on anywhere from 5 to 10 k a year on the bike so I just plan on changing the oil once in the summer and again right before I put her to bed for the winter. Usually works out to around 5000. Same with primary. I don't change the tranny that often however.

Seems like a plan to me.

Does not take a rocket scientist or oil analysis to figure that one out.
Amsoil does not recommend 35,000 mi for the 20w50 motorcycle oil. They do say it will go 10,000 mi between changes but 5000 is enough for me.

I use Walmart brand dino oil and HD filter every 5K miles on my CVO. 10K miles change for primary. I will use Redline Shock for my transmission once it gets to 20K miles.

My engine oil and filter change costs me less than $25.
Maybe this was how I was able to save enough to get my CVO.
