Default Helmet Cam

I've searched and didn't come up with much and I know this technology seems to change every couple of months.....has anyone here used a helmet cam that they're happy with??? What about remote start/stop feature or photo feature? I want to know from a person who's used one, not just reading the ads I see...would be great to have some quality video of the upcoming seasons rides to look at during the next ice age up here.....

Seems to be a lot of hype about the GoPro cameras and they seem to be used a lot on professional videos. Hopefully some of the people on here that have them will chime in, I'd like to know more about them too.

I've used a friends no name camera and was not really happy. I've been looking into them this winter for our Dragon trip this summer. Go Pro reviews good and I would also look into the Contour cameras http://contour.com/products . They even have one camera that connects with androids or iPhones so you can use your phone as a view finder. YouTube them for some side by side comparisons.

I was looking at the GoPro, the only thing that puts me off is it has no remote control so you have to switch it on or off at the camera!
Have a look at the Drift Stealth it has a built in viewfinder and a remote

Go Pro hero 2 is the one on my list! Going to mount it on the engine guard.

I have the Drift HD170 Stealth.

I really like the viewfinder and the remote on/off switch.

I got this camera for xmas and have been experimenting with different mounting locations, the handle bar clamp that comes with the unit fits on the saddlebag guard and is very stable. I picked up a pedco ultra clamp, it fits at many different locations.
The most stable locations I have found are the saddlebag guard, handle bars, and the spotlight bar.
I haven't tried the camera mounted to a helmet yet.

I've used the Windows Live Movie maker for editing, it's ok. I prefer using Corel Video Studio pro-x4.

Check out the video forums, Dr. Tiki has a video that has a good shot of a mount with his GoPro and GotMy11SG has a link to some videos using the Drift Camera.

I read (I think on their web site) that they will be releasing a remote controlled HD model right around now.

I saw that, but to get the viewfinder, or screen it's still extra?
How are you supposed to know if you have the camera in the right position without a screen?

I do not own a helmet cam, but I am interested in the Tachyon OPS HD.

I would like to hear from anyone that has used one.

OP you might want to check out their website.
