I'd like to see HD broaden it's product line to begin to introduce water cooled cruisers. Maybe with Willie G retired it will go that route and then again, maybe not. I don't want to see the air cooled engines go away, but it would be nice to add a couple bikes...maybe a stripped down cruiser like the Softail or Dyna and a tourer...with water cooled engines with a bit more power.

I think he was behind the XLCR which was 20 years ahead of time in styling.

You folks with bright ideas about how to improve the product line within the current cost should come up with conclusions on how to produce what you want and submit your application for employment after you do....Otherwise, STFU!!!!

I think it would be a fitting tribute of everyone to 'retire' their skulls ...

Seems he certainly inspired strong feelings in his supporters and detractors ... I think he was behind both good and misguided decisions ... as are most historical figures ... which I think he must be (if a minor figure) ...

Will be interesting to see what the future holds ... I wish him well and many years to enjoy his retirement ...

Realistically if he is 78 he has probably been tapering off his workload over the last 15 years or so. Probably has been acting more as a figure head than being involved in day to day operations or new designs so I would not expect any sudden changes due to his retirement.

I know some think he is a god but he just coppied what many built by hand in the 60's and 70's. Still he took HD to the top of the buisness.

If he were Willie G's brother or son I could understand the outrage. No-one called into question Willie G's manhood or ethics. It seems as if most of the critique in this thread was pretty fair.

Maybe he sleeps in Willie G jammies and prays to his picture everyday? Who knows?
