Default Cross state lines.... For no helmet?

I was just wondering how many of you helmet law state guys have hopped on your bikes for the sole purpose of riding your bike across state lines to a state without a helmet law, just so you can spend some time riding without the helmet? I have not, but only because I never thought to. I might plan a trip this summer though.

I wouldn't ride without a lid.

Not me. Required or not, I always wear a helmet.

I have not. I wore a helmet 99% of the time before it was required here in California.

I live about 5 minutes from the Iowa state line, I'll often go for a ride over there without a helmet, and sometimes I ride in Iowa simply because I CAN ride without a helmet.

I enjoyed my time in and around Sturgis helmetless, but rode helmet all the way there and back even though not required. I always wear helmet in Arizona even if it's only 40-50 miles away. It's funny to watch the guys in Laughlin stop on the bridge to remove helmet when crossing into Bullhead City, Az.

My friend rode sans helmet for years until he became a firefighter/paramedic. Nuff said.

Rode over TX state lines for vacation and decided to try no helmet while I was there. Just felt wrong. I rode with the lid on rest of the trip.
