Mobil 1 V-Twin 20/50 in all three holes?

Harley's new SYN3 Synthetic oil is approved for all three holes. Just wanted to make sure that Mobil1 V-Twin was the same.

I agree with your indy sort of. No advantage to using syn in the primary.
I tried syn in all three holes and found more noise from the primary and it didn't shift as smooth.
I went back to Formula+ in trans and primary.

The vast majority of motorcycles... including some Harley's... run motor oil in the trans...the trans is not separate from the motor so you have no choice. Most car manufacturers quit using "gear" oil in manual transmissions in the 80's. Clark forklifts have run motor oil in trans-axles for decades. Planetary gear boxes on heavy earth-moving equipment have used ATF for decades. Your trans will live a long life with motor oil if you keep it clean.

including some Harley's. Keyword SOME.
Im just sayin.. the twin cam has a separate trans. MY choice is transmission oil in the transmission and engine oil in the engine. Do what you want. Do what works for you. I really hate oil threads.

I tried to do exactly what you are asking. My experiment was with Amsoil 20w50 because it says on the bottle to use it in all three. It took one ride to change to Amsoil 75/145 severe gear oil. To me the 20w50 is just too "clunky" during gear changes, and neutral was harder to find. I'm much happier with the heavier oil. I will try redline next time just to see the difference. Just my two cents
