Default Rode today for a while...

It has been a while since I have gotten out on the bike. Maybe a week or so. It is cold for us here, the low 60's with a lot of wind. I jsut think of how fortunate I am to live in a climate that provides me the opportunity to ride in the winter and thank god for that. As soon as I started rolling down the street I broke into the biggest grin, and I thought to myself I have been truly blessed. Hope all are having a great holiday season, and I send my greetings to you all. I have been absent from the board as I have been busy getting holiday stuff prepared and celebrating. Great holidays all.

I also road today (we're inbetween storms). It was 36 degrees when I left for work and was 39 degrees when I returned home. I don't care about the temperature as long as it's not pooring down rain or icy.

In the 60s isabout my favorite temp for riding. All the safety leather finally feels comfortable

Not a big fan of high winds though. They don't give me as much trouble on the Harley as they did the old Yamaha, but strong gusts still freak me out a little when they catch me by surprise. Maybe with more riding I'll get used to it (couldn't keep the old bike running long enough to really get used to anything).

Ugh, I was in Florida last week for a family emergency. I did not have much free time.
But, I was able to stop by Ft. Myers H-D last saturday.
They were very busy - I wonder if they were having a special sale or something.
I did get a t-shirt. When checking out the nice lady asked me if there was anything else they could do forme?
I said "Yeah - let me take a bike for a quick test ride." She responded by telling me it was not a good riding day. It was overcast and in the mid 70's.
I thought that was funny - I would love for it to be 70 and overcast here!

I'm jealous! Freezing rain, sleet and snow here. On the good side, I can tear the bike down and have 3-4 months to put it together and not cut into my riding time.
(that must be the power of positive drinking talking)
