I have had the card now for approx.two years now.The only way to redeem for "chrome cash"is to call an 800 number. I just did it today. The lady was very polite. She said expect it in mail in 6-8 weeks. So what I'm getting at is plan ahead. By the time the certificate gets here it will(hopefully)be warm enough to get the steed out of stable and start tinkering.

yeah, they say that, but it seems that they have a cycle where they cut the chrome cash. depending on where you are in the cycle, you can have a reasonably short wait, or you could end up with the 6-8 weeks. but yeah, planning ahead is a definite must. it's not something that you would use if you needed a part to get your bike running.

it's also important to note that the points expire in 3 years, but once you redeem them for the chrome cash, the certificates are only good for 90 days.

So let me get this straight...
Some of you guys would be willing to spend 15%-20% in interest in order to save 1%-2% on chrome?
And then people wonder why they can't see the light of day...

The reason why a dealership won't take a credit card is because they pay 2% to 4% bank transaction fee.
If someone, anyone takes a credit card, they have that extra percentage figured in to their profit margin, so write the check and save the percentage..

That goes without saying.
I think you missed the question about what the interest rate was...

H-D Signature Visa , had mine a long time.
The GM card I had was worthlees the points toward a GM never added up I could buy the car for the same price with out the points.
I travel and use my H-D Signature Visa so it adds up very fast.
I also use it a Hd dealers and still get my discounts so it adds up
even more. The points come fast , I know they say 6 weeks but normally a couple weeks is all.
Spend them just like cash on stuff and services.
never had an issue with them and also never paid a dime in interest Each month bill comes paid so IMo it is a winner all they way around.
