Kinda feel for your non-riding friends?
Ever have one of your non-riding friends express regrets to have never gotten into riding? I have a friend who is retired & says he gets so bored.
His pastime is playing on his computer & has no hobbies to speak of. When I tell him about about one of my rides I can tell by the look on his face he wishes he could be out with me. I don't mention about getting into riding since he is 75 and in poor health. All I can say I am so thankful I can ride(among other things) because I enjoy it so damn much! When I take off on my Deuce, I'm in another world, no worries, just freedom. When I can't ride I'm tinkering on my bike or playing my Strat. I'm retired & no boredom here!
Non-riders, eat your heart out.

Good point, never thought about a trike. By the way the "old guy" is only 4 years older than I am..

I have an older brother and a old high school buddy that I used to ride with alot. Now neither can afford a mc. I just recently purchased a pair of late 90's Suzuki's. I bought them with the intention of donating them to these guys. But, after much thought (and a discussion with the mrs.) I decided to keep them and let them ride them whenever they want (mainly because I don't think they can afford the up-keep).Maybe this is dumb, but I miss riding with them. It's been 8 years since I rode with my brother and probably 12 years since i rode with my buddy. Hopefully it will be a great summer.

Most have died in the past couple of years. Even my HD salesman passed away last fall at 65. He was more of a car guy and we would talk cars all the time.
A couple of salesmen are lining up to vie for my two bikes a year habit.
I'm only 71 but none of the old crowd is around or have given up on motorcycles.
I still have two of my sons to go to rallies and adventure tours every year. We have three planned so far. Laughlin, Sturgis and a meandering tour of the northeast to complete my visited states list.

Nope, don't even think about 'em. Those are 'new convert' kinda thoughts (like an old atheist finding christ, and wanting everybody to share their joy). Everybody's gotta row their own boat. Minding yer own business is highly under-rated. Riding a bike ain't the only way to enjoy life.
