Guess you've never had a chunk of road crap jump up and hit you! Boots, gloves, goggles (eyewear) and anything elso you wear helps protect you against the possiblities.

 

My buddy wrecked bad on his Night Train a few months ago. I saw his Chucks and jeans after the medics removed them. I thought they were red Chucks...they weren't. His ankle and left leg are seriously screwed and they almost had to cut 'em off. He'll never run again, and likely won't walk without a cane.

 

yep. the tar snakes, oil spots, painted lines & etc are very slippery when wet .....can go down quick w/ slippery soles.....just sayin'

 

A good sliding wreck when I was young shaved a huge amount of my left foot off the top. Scarred so thick I couldn't move it up or down very well. Had to later have it operated on, "Z-Plasty", then radiated to slow the healing process so it wouldn't scar too heavily. Not as bad as the previously posted pic but that did bring back some memories.

Wear tennis shoes if you want man, never again for me.
