I have the Chippewa rally boots, I love them. I recently saw them somewhere on clearance, discontinued, may have been the women's only I don't know. They were 99$. Here's the site I got from another member on here, seem like very nice people to deal with and had the best prices.

My first pair lasted 6 years. I wear my boots every day doing construction work, switch to my Lace-to-toe for the bike, Bison Packers for everything else. They are comfortable and you can get a deal on line. The Vibram soles last forever, I wish they made tires out of Vibram.

 

Another vote for Chippewa. Made in USA, comfortable, well made, and will last a long time. I have the harness boots and they look great too. You pay a little more, but it's worth it in the long run. You can't go wrong with Red Wing also.

 

$455? I am sure they are great, but they are triple his budget. I have Harley Lynx Boots. They are very comfortable, even for walking. They are waterproof, so I wouldn't want to walk a lot in them if over 80 degrees.
