H-D Clothing Complaint

An American made T Shirt could sell for exactly the same as an import and would still generate a good profit for HD..
MoCo just have to settle for a 30% markup instead of a 50 or 60% mark up when wholesaling it to the Dealer.
I'd buy one, ( haven't yet though.)

All,
has anyone else noticed that Harley dealers are selling clothing NOT MADE in America. I found a the majority of H-D shirts made in India, Pakistan & Vietnam costing almost $100.00 @ the Ramstein PX. Shouldn't Harley-Davidson be selling products made in America. What, can't they find a manufacturer in the USA? Please let Harley know that they should be selling products made in America by Americans!!!!
Respectfully
Rick

Because of high labour costs the only motorcycle gear currently made in the US is higher end custom gear like www.motoport.com and www.aerostich.com .

I note that the Aerostich Transit jacket is $897.
People were bitching not too long ago on this forum that the Harley FXRG jacket was $695. Of course it is made in China.

It's true we do t-shirts all the time. Cost diffrence between made in america and foriegn **** is about $2 bucks a shirt. Of course the usa stuff beats it hands down in quality. Thats for 20-30 shirts I'm sure hd could cut that margin in half.

Yes, noticed that sometimes back...HD is something to always scrutinize. Lil story for ya:
Stopped in to grab a set of riding glasses, found a set for $130 and made sure to ask the girl if replacement lenses were available. Short of it was a year later I went to replace those lenses only to find the model they sold me was discontinued a year earlier than I'd purchased them. Talk about an attitude I got, anyways, I found a decent set of glasses that cut the wind even at 90+ mph at Maui Jims. Lenses are replacable and for those interested in my iput the model is the stingray...lil pricey than I'm use to but well worth it.
