LOL! We are at $3.40 gallon at the cut-rates today for regular. I remember when I was in high school and had just got my driver's license. There was a gas war going on and I was able to buy gas at 00.11 cents a gallon for "high test" gas.

At premium price today to fill my StreetGlide would run me about $22 for a tank!

Don't worry guys, Spring is coming, and we can spend $25 to fill up our lawn mowers too!

Let's see about this, average American worker drives a car that gets about 20 MPG, and commutes about 40 miles per day each way, that's only about 4 gallons a day or about $16 a day. Sounds not too bad, unless you figure that they are making $9 an hour, at an 8 hour day, that's $56 per day, and they are taxed on that so they get to keep maybe $50. Deduct the gas and they are taking home $34 which equates to about $4.25 an hour.

That's why when I go to Mexico, I visit a pharmacy, too. That, and I don't need prescriptions for what I get, muscle relaxant for lower back pain (seldom need it) and antibiotics so I don't need to spend a couple hundred bucks to get a prescription from a doc if I get a sinus infection. A lot of folks also get stuff for recreation, but I'm not into that. Some prices are the same, but a lot is way way cheaper. And their health care puts Obamacare to shame. Sure would like to have Mexican food prices in our stores, too, then I could afford sea food again. Mexico ain't as bad as a lot of folks think, would like to have a second home there.

Yeah, I remember that too. Funny how it seems like not all that long ago when we weren't paying through the nose for this thing called gasoline. Then somebody came along and figured out how to manipulate it to control the market and here we are today, lining their pockets and emptying ours.

Yep, I remember being able to buy $1 worth of gas and it actually moved the needle on the gas gauge. The only thing I can fill up for $1 today is maybe my chain saw!
Really, I can't fill mine for a buck???

One thing about the expensive gas isn't that we are pissin and moaning because our favorite hobby just got more expensive, it's just that most of us have to drive to work and then back home every day. If I am spending $100 a week at $2 a gallon when it gets to $4 a gallon, I am spending $200 a week to get to the same job, and none of us got a raise! The louse government tells us that there is basically no inflation!!!!!!! #@$$*(&)_ GOVERNMENT!

We are down to buying milk by the pint, doing without going out anywhere, bagging lunches, and doing without any fun things to do because I have to fill the DAM TANK to get to work!

When OBUMMER took office gas was $1.78 a gallon. Now it's $4 and they are saying we should expect $5 or $6 by summer. And OBUMMER said when he was running for office that "Energy prices would necessarily skyrocket" Well, guess what. They ARE!

When Bush was in office and gas got to $4 a gallon, one month I spent over $2,000 on gas! I know that sounds like a lot, but I have my own business and sometimes have to travel 200- 250 miles a day round trip. I don't get paid for my mileage and have to just eat it! Now they are saying $5 to $6???WTF???

WTF, dude, it's the American way. Big oil is gonna charge what the market will bear (just as you will do, whatever your business model happens to be). Your business' survival is not their problem.
