Scottish Rite (Masonic) benefit ride in Dallas?
My youngest son goes to Scottish Rite here in Dallas. I've been looking forever for some type of benefit ride for Scottish Rite w/ no luck. I know quite a few of you are Masons and was hoping you could help me out w/ any info. I've checked the Scottish Rite website regularly for their "schedule of events" with nothing turning up. Now I know they do these rides, right?....I just cant seem to locate one. Anybody able to help? I figured December would surely have one...but none yet.

Actually, when I spoke to the "PR" person at the hospital, Rick Fairless was one of the names she mentioned as somebody who has been involved w/ a ride benefitting the SR hospital. I sent him an email already....waiting for his reply.

Great idea rx. I am always up for a ride and nothing better than making it for a good cause. The Scottish Rite do so much, I can't think of a better reason.

well, I got a reply back finally from Strokers...his the reply:
"Rick forwarded me your email. As of now, we don’t have plans to do a ride benefiting the hospital, although we do have other fundraising efforts in the works. We recently held a silent auction and 50/50 raffle at our Anniversary Party in October and were able to raise $2230 for the Scottish Rite. We are planning to do the same thing on a slightly larger scale for our Spring Fling event in March. We are also working on creating a large Charity Ball with the entire motorcycle industry of DFW to benefit the Scottish Rite. Hopefully that will pull together toward the end of the year and be a great success. Be sure to check out our website or join our email list to stay up-to-date on the fundraising efforts we have planned.
Thank you so much
