Top 10 Roads in the US for Harley Touring

The old Route 66 from downtown Chicago all the way to the Santa Monica pier.
Much of the original road is gone, the scenery is pretty boring for hundreds (ok, multiple multiple hundreds) of miles. But the history and freedom of the open road it represents is unmistakable.
The quirky hotels, the mom & pop gas stations and funky tourist traps along the way have brought joy (and sometimes heartache) to countless millions of Americans. There is a reason it is called the Mother Road.

My favorite I've been on?
HWY 61 from Duluth, MN North to the Boarder. Awesome road. Good enough to make it into HOG Magazine recently. Nice 3-4 hour ride. Lots of small towns, tunnels, and skirting the rocky shore the whole way.

The Dragon is fun to me - some would not agree. I've ridden it twice and would go again. That whole area of eastern Tennessee and North Carolina is great riding.
Also the SNAKE. Bristol, TN to Mountain City, TN on U.S. 421. Hang on tight!!

Blue Ridge Parkway and all its "tributaries" is a fun and varied road.
Eastern TN, Western NC and especially Northern GA (great roads with little traffic)...not a bad road in any of this.
+1 on the Snake...tougher than the Dragon with hardly any idiots!
