Default Daytona Bike WK / Loud Exhaust ?

How bad do you think the Leo's will be this year regarding loud pipes at Daytona ? I don't usually worry about this kind of thing but I'm hearing the locals Leo's will be worse than normal this year. Any opinions on this?

I was down there a few weeks ago. Loud is not so much an issue as riders jockeying the trottle. Resist being a jockey throttler and you'll probably be fine.

Don't break the back tire loose.
Don't get the front tire off the ground.
Don't be an azzhat. Throttle jockey fits under the azzhat category...
and you will be fine.

There are 200,000 bikes there. 20,000 of them are running some kind of straight pipe. Your bike is no louder or obnoxious than tens of thousands of others. Only you can do that...

For the record I run staggered Pythons with no baffles. But I keep my hand out of the throttle when I am in town.

Just don't ride like an azzhat and you will have no problems, no matter how loud your pipes are....

The rule is that you have to have baffles. There are cops down there that are jerks (not all of them) and if they see you off by yourself they may pull you over and see if you have insurance if you are not wearing a helmet, you don't need insurance if you are wearing a helmet. I did have one officer in Edgewater check to see if my pipes had baffles during BikeWeek.

You can ride with those pipes loud or decent. Take your pick.

Thanks for the replies, so my normal approach should be fine. I'm not one to sit around make noise.

Yeah I just don't understand the people that feel the need to rev their bike constantly.

Pretty soon people will be cruising at speed and clutching in just to rev it up every 10 seconds down the freeway...
