If you can go natural gas then do it. Try to locate something that is direct vented (do a search on the net) Rinnai makes some nice wall mounted direct vent appliances. www.rinnai.us/.aspx/0/c.2e6f2c/Overview <-----(check out this link)
A direct vent appliance uses outside air for combustion and then the appliance vents back to the outside, no open flames.
You can install other gas fired appliances but, they must be at least 18" off the floor.
Dont forget your carbon monoxide detector.
