I'm thinking a Rocker, or a Fat Bob (Dyna) would be closest to the riding position of the Raider.

I'm thinking another raider. You sold the raider for a reason, move on. If you liked it so much you would have kept it. You didn't. HD doesn't make a similar bike to the raider, unless you want to jump into the V-rod. But if you want the feel and position of a raider, than get a raider!

LOL

I don't think a V-Rod comes even close to the same riding position.

i have never been on a raider... perhaps you should go to the dealer and sit on some used bikes. they wont force you to buy it for sitting on it.

A Night Train is pretty much a standard - just blacker - but that's about the shape of the Raider, best I can tell.

Actually the Night Train is going to give you the closest riding position to the Raider. The drag bars give it a much different feel from the Softail Standard.

If it's your first Harley, you have to buy a Sportster, new or used, doesn't matter.
Those are the rules and they must be abidded to. After a fair amount of ribbing from the big twiners for riding a "girls" bike, (don't worry, Sportsters are for everyone) you may move into either the Dyna, Softail or Touring arena. Again, these are the rules, and they must be abidded to.
