This is so true. It's like, yeah they make them all the time, but this one is MINE! It's got my soul in it. My current bike is still fairly new and I"m still in the bonding process. But once that bonding takes place; once you experience that comfort and "oneness" with your bike; and you have it set up just for you; you don't want to lose that

There is no duplicate of mine out there , one & only in that configuration . That's where I come from and it isn't that I would ever want to be in a position to have to replace , you can't without a boatload of time & effort and then it still wouldn't be the same just something similar . Just me .

Best advice ive heard on this forum.

If it was a real brother you wouldn't have to think about it. Every time i didn't listen to that little voice in my head, something bad happend.

I've let a few close friends ride my bike and vice versa. We ride together regularly though.

That's among club brother's only in my neck of the woods and most the people I felt way with are long gone anymore so Bitch & I will continue to keep our own company for a while longer . Got one good friend who can ride her if the need arises but he's just like me he won't ask , another old shovelhead knuckle dragger .

Same. We often exchange bikes or out right borrow one for the day if ours is in the shop. We also have keys or codes to homes and apartments.
Probably beyond comprehension to some here.

I've loaned out my bikes to my sons who ride, when they ask.
