I average about 3,000 miles a month in prime season.....had a mechanical cruise control on my softail,it was just ok.The Road King has Harley's factory cruise control. When you gotta clock a lot of miles in a day,it rocks.Keeps you loose in the saddle, alternating hands, better gas mileage.

Set it five over and go. Easy to maintain non ticket speeds on country roads where the cops hide in the bushes. I use it all the time.

It's standard on some touring models and optional on the rest.

HD factory cruise has been around for years, long before "throttle by wire" .

The newer touring models have throttle by wire so you can't "lock" the throttle an these. This is why i ordered the cruise option on mine. I use it wayyyyyy more then i thought i would. I'm very happy with it!

Love the CC. As with a car/truck, never use cruise on anything but dry road conditions.
