One thing stands out...especially if you are not used to Cruise Control. Make sure you are in the right gear when you hit the "Resume" button. If you have the cruise control set at 65 or 60 mph. And you have to slow down or stop for heavy traffic. Don't hit the resume button while in 3rd gear. The cruise control WILL try to accelerate back to the set speed.
livin in east tn the roads are twisty and turnny and busy, so I dont use it much. so usually I ride all day and near days end I'll jump up on the interstate hit the curse and roll on homeward. then its grand. dont know anyone who rolls up the miles that dont like the cruise. money well spent if you do much road time....
Have it on my '07 Road Glide. When I was on the Mainland used it all the time but not much here. Really helps on the long rides. Only complaint is it tops out at 85 mph. Yeah I know, I need to slow down.
After trading my old bike (without windscreen or cruise) for my new one (with both), I can say that I'd never be without again... unless it's a 4-cylinder Indian or something like that!
