Anybody Ridden The T.O.t.D. Who'd Never Do It Again?

I have ridden it about 6-7 times, would be more fun (and dangerous)on a crotchrocket, its fun the first few times but I have no interest in doing it again. Last time I was out there a guy on a Glide hit a motorhome head on and died, you really need to watch out on the curves. I would recomend the Cherahola Skyway, much better on a Harley. After riding thru the Alps nothing compares.

Rode it a long time back on my Duc. It was fun and back then there were not as many people. Ride your skill set and watch out in blind curves. Enjoy it at your own speed, don't succumb to peer pressure or try to speed up b/c somebody's behind you.

Big Sur route 1 out here makes the dragon look like a farm road in Kansas , it's just hype . Any of the roads in the Santa cruz mountains here just as hinky and I'd say tighter from personal experience on both and the dragon is over trafficked with people who have no business on a bike much less riding it .

Did the dragon years ago before all the hype. I was not on a scoot, but an scca c sports racing Alpha Romero. It was a blast both ways.
The scariest ride I think I personally ever did was in the same Alpha (Yeah we raced all over and trailered it everywhere) on the twisties down to Muir Woods in Cali. Lots of drops and switchbacks that will make you puke.

It's easy and fun. Just avoid the weekend days. Don't forget to drop south and take a picture of your bike near Bridal Veil Falls (you can ride under it.)http://www.alleneasler.com/bridal.html
