Default Boom Audio Amp and Speakers

I was thinking about getting this setup to put on my Roadking, and I was wondering if they are really worth it? How good is the sound and are they actually loud enough to be heard while cruising down the hwy at 70+. I was also tossing around the idea of mounting them to the upper bar on my crash bar. For the guys that are using this setup, will these things be able to be heard mounted down there. Thanks in advance for all of your replies.

Not sure what system you are talking about but the ones from the Harley shop are the best way to go. We just got one on an 07 king and it sounds great. The system is clear and can be heard next to him going down the road. The way that system hooks up was a easy bolt on thing but due to the amp and power supply think that the crash bar would be out of the question. Good luck hope this helps.

Boom audio is the HD made kit and I was talking about mounting the speakers to the crash bar not the whole unit.

I am watching this thread as well. If you do a search on this forum, you will find other threads on the subject but they were awhile ago. I am hoping to see some updated opinions.... especially if the windshield mounted version sounds better than the handlebar version (less wind to affect sound).

(from a search) Mounting speakers on engine guard, the wind would tend to push sound past you before you hear it.
