Default gas cap

Nice but mine only has regular caps , no electrical hook-ups . I thought they might make some sort of floater device under the cap . I guess that's not hi-tech enough these days . Thanks tho .

I've never heard of one, but you might be better off contacting some of the gas cap vendors on eBay. One of them might have some hookups to find what you want.

Go to a lawnmower shop , maybe they have one that could fit ,or be modified to use with your cap.

Just re-read your post and my pre-edit post made no sense. In my experience, the gas gauges aren't the most accurate anyways so just resetting a trip meter or something after each fill up would work better. Just my opinion though, take it or leave it.

On the bikes I have had over the years, the trip meter, and occasionally the need to switch the petcock to reserve were my warnings for a nearly empty tank.

Mine says it's on reserve when the tank is still over half full. How hi-tech is that? I go by the trip odometer.

Thanks for all the input . I ran out of gas put it on reserve and made it about 1/4 of a mile . I thought maybe it was stopped up on reserve . I took it apart and found no problems . I still can't figure out why I could'nt make it another 20 or 30 miles at least . I thought maybe a
gauge would help .
