Default Fox Creek Leather Experience

I would have kept my Schott Classic Racer leather jacket for a lifetime. Turns out I lost a good bit a weight and the size 48 swallowed me up. I had it altered down to maybe a 47 or 46, but couldn't take it down any more without ruining it. Also bothered me that it didn't have an insulated lining. I came into a bit of money and decided to take the plunge on a new set of leathers.

I checked out the Harley jackets at the dealer but there there was something that bothered me about every model they had. There were so many positive reviews on Fox Creek I decided to check them out. I went to the Fox Creek web site and was very impressed. There was a model exactly like I wanted: The Grayson. It had the styling I wanted, plus it comes with a zip out thinsulate liner. Those make such a huge difference in the cold I just knew I had to have one in my next leather jacket. I decided I wanted some chaps too, just because they're so easy to get on and off, unlike my overpants.

I took all the measurements as instructed on the Web site. My chest was a perfect 42, which translated to a size 42 jacket. They had both items in stock and shipped them out the same day I ordered them. When I got them in I was very impressed with the quality, just like I had heard from so many of you on this forum. The texture of the leather is more bumpy, like a football, than my Schott which is smooth. The 42 was just too snug. They accepted the exchange and shipped out a 44 the same day I called them. I got in the 44 today and it fits perfectly. I rode with it on my way home from work, about 30 minutes with temps in the 50's, and I am completely satisfied.

I measured for the Large/Long chaps. They fit very well also but needed cutting off a bit on the bottom.

I spent a good bit of money on this outfit, but I am really happy I did. I'm totally satisfied, and can't wait to ride in to work in the morning.

I just checked their site, nice looking jacket.
Good writeup on the sizing for someone in the market.

Yeah, FC products tend to run a little small. Whatever your measurement, you should always get the next size up. Good products, tho.

I got a FC jacket last year too. It was also one size to small and they had the next size up to me in the next couple of days. I love the jacket. For the money it can't be beat.

Quite a few of the guys I ride with have the Fox Creek jackets and vests. I have never been anything less than amazed at the quality. First rate every single time. Since I already live in Virginia, I hear quite a few people braggin' on them. And they are NOT made in China like the MOCO's. To me thats a big deal.

I received a new FC Commander jacket yesterday to replace a now too large Classic I - the new one is actually smaller than my technical measurements for it but its a great fit (48 > 46)

Slight problem but they dealt with that almost instantly so I rate them for customer service as well as the goods themselves.

It is good to hear a positive review on a vendor. I have never ordered from Fox Creek, but they may get my next order.
